Digital Tape Paintings

My initial ideas created the imagery seen below. This was purely in response to Sophie Taeuber-Arp’s work, but as I evolved my Photoshop works they very quickly lost their resemblance to her work and created a new look of their own that more closely resembled the works of Ryan McGinness and Ian Davenport. From here, the work became more and more eclectic as I found it hard to pinpoint one key artist or idea that I was responding to as I created more and more pieces purely for the fun of seeing where each idea would lead me and what the outcome would look like. Because of this freedom to create, the work very quickly started to make itself as new ideas were formed, developed and worked on into a series of finished images.
