Viruses: A Mini-Project

These outcomes have been created as a part of a project for my Liberal Studies course where I have been asked to respond to the theme of '‘Viruses in Both Digital and Physical Forms’.

Geometry Nodes in Blender

Following on from some quick experimentation in After Effects, I set up a new project in Blender and used the new geometry nodes feature to model an icosphere which I subsequently tore apart into its respective building blocks in order to create the jagged formations that can be seen in the final animation. To further develop this outcome and better respond to the scientific 3-D models of viruses, I duplicated the icosphere formations and inset them within themselves to create a denser visual profile.
